Gov Ododo Condoles Auditor General, Yakubu Okala Over Mother’s Demise
The Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the State Auditor General, Alhaji Yakubu Yusuf Okala, on the passing of his stepmother, the late Mallama Alugbe Odanwu.
The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu, conveyed his sympathy while attending the burial prayers of the deceased in Olowa, Dekina Local Government Area of the state. He also commiserated with the entire Okala family, as well as the government and people of Dekina Local Government Area over the loss.
Describing the death of a loved one, especially a parent, as a deeply painful experience, the Governor noted that while the love, care, and guidance of parents are irreplaceable, it is a rare privilege for children to be alive to accord their parents a befitting burial.
He further remarked that the late Mallama Alugbe Odanwu lived a fulfilled and responsible life, having raised her children with sound values and good upbringing.
Governor Ododo prayed that Almighty Allah forgives her shortcomings and grants her Aljannatul Firdaus. He also prayed for strength, comfort, and fortitude for the family to bear the irreparable loss, while asking Allah to bless the children with long life and continued guidance.
