Kogi First Lady Visits Accident Victims, Mourns the Dead, and Cautions Road Users

The First Lady of Kogi State, Her Excellency Hajia Safinat Usman Ododo, has extended compassion, support, and condolences to victims and families affected by the tragic accident involving persons living with disabilities who were returning from the World Disability Day celebration in Lokoja on Thursday.
Her Excellency, who was represented by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Deaconess Margaret Eleojo Salifu, visited the injured patients receiving treatment at the Specialist, and Shifa Hospitals Lokoja.
During the visit, the First Lady sympathize with the victims, praying for their speedy recovery and reassuring them of the support of the State Government. She also mourned those who lost their lives in the accident, sympathising deeply with their families, the disability community, and the entire state over the painful loss.
In demonstration of her concern, Hajia Safinat Usman Ododo donated cash support to the victims to help ease their burden during recovery. And commended the medical personnel for their prompt intervention and professional care.

The First Lady used the medium to caution truck drivers against reckless road conduct, especially blocking highways and endangering lives. She stressed that such actions are avoidable and urged strict adherence to safety rules, particularly during the ember months when travel activities is high. 
She reaffirmed her commitment to humanitarian service and the wellbeing of citizens, assuring that her office will continue to reach out to vulnerable groups and support persons living with disabilities.
Hajia Safinat prayed for the repose of the souls of those who passed away and divine protection over the people of Kogi State, urging all road users to remain vigilant, patient, and safety conscious.
