2026 EID-EL-KABIR MESSAGE BY THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF KOGI STATE, HIS EXCELLENCY COMRADE JOEL SALIFU, TO MUSLIMS IN KOGI STATE AND NIGERIA
1. As Muslims across Kogi State, Nigeria, and the world celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, I heartily felicitate with the entire Muslim Ummah on this sacred and significant occasion.
2. Eid-el-Kabir reminds us of the virtues of obedience, sacrifice, faith, love, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS). It is a season that calls for deep reflection, compassion for one another, and renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence and unity.
3. I urge all Muslim faithful to continue to uphold the values of tolerance, patience, generosity, and mutual understanding, especially at a time our nation needs collective prayers, unity, and support for sustainable growth and development.
4. On behalf of my family and supporters, I congratulate my principal, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and all Muslims in Kogi State and across Nigeria on the successful completion of the spiritual preparations leading to this celebration. May Allah accept our prayers, sacrifices, and acts of worship, and may He continue to bless our dear State and nation with peace, progress, and prosperity.
5. I also commend the government of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his unshakable commitment to the development, unity, and security of Kogi State. I encourage citizens to continue to support our administration in its efforts to build a more prosperous future for all.
6. As we celebrate, I appeal to everyone to do so peacefully, responsibly, and in the spirit of love and harmony.
Eid Mubarak to all Muslim faithful.
