Igala Daughters of Promotion (IDOP) is a purpose-driven organization committed to empowering Igala women and strengthening families across the Igala nation. The organization is dedicated to adding value to the Igala woman while also uplifting women from other tribes who are married into Igala families—fostering unity, inclusion, growth, and shared progress.
Through empowerment, capacity building, and community support, IDOP works to restore dignity, unlock potential, and inspire positive change that transcends families and generations. By prioritizing the mental, social, and economic development of the Igala woman, IDOP is actively contributing to a stronger, more resilient, and prosperous Igala nation.
IDOP aims to positively reshape the mindset of the Igala woman through strategic initiatives that promote sustainable growth, self-reliance, and long-term empowerment. With a clear mission and unwavering commitment, the organization continues to make meaningful impact within communities—proving that when women are empowered, families are strengthened and societies flourish.
Our Key Initiatives Include:
* Vocational skills acquisition and capacity-building training for members
* Access to soft loans with very low or zero interest
* Orphanage visitations and community outreach programs
* Showcasing and celebrating iconic Igala women as role models
* Organizing trade fairs exclusively for Igala women to showcase their products to wider markets
